❤️ CHAPTER 37 * In 2002, even though I was already a mother, Alessandro returned to seriously court me, asking me to get back together. He was so tender in his way of declaring himself that he managed to find a way into my heart. * Ale was a very sweet person and I spent 2 incredibly beautiful years with him, so much so that I was able to forget the ugliness of my past. * In 2004 he asked me to marry him, promising me that he would be an excellent father for Rebecca and I accepted without hesitation. * Today, many years later I have to admit that he was a wonderful parent, even if things slowly got worse between him and me until they no longer worked at all. * Alessandro and I separated in 2009, divorcing the following year and I must admit that the blame for that failure was largely mine. * I felt the need for a man at my side and he, because he was busy with work, was never at home. * Even though I loved him, I cheated on him several times in those years, albeit in the hope that he would never notice, but it didn't happen that way! * He realized it almost immediately, but at first (perhaps understanding the reasons) he pretended nothing had happened. But then, as the situation continued, one day he said he wanted to talk to me and on that occasion he expressed his desire to end things with me permanently. * Rebecca, however, did not lose her father: he was always present in my daughter's life... and indeed, today for study-related reasons, she lives with him in London.
