❤️ CHAPTER 5 * The joy of seeing him again was dampened in an instant by the appearance of the woman I thought was his “girlfriend”. * “Imagine if someone like that could be free” I thought… and I stood aside with Sara, while he hugged and kissed most of the friends who were gathering in the small square. * When Luca noticed our presence, he came towards us to greet us and introduce us to the whole group of boys. * I remember perfectly the feeling of jealousy that had run through me from head to toe, imagining that Luca and Cristina (the girl who had arrived with him in the car) were together… and when much later I discovered that she was actually just his cousin, I felt my heart burst with a happiness that was difficult to contain. * In any case, Luca told us that that evening they were all going to a birthday party in a penthouse that overlooked the sea and asked us if we wanted to join them. * Sara and I accepted on the condition that someone would take us home by midnight. * During that party I never had the chance to get in touch with him: too many girls were buzzing around him, but as the time for our return was approaching, I timidly tried to ask him if he wanted to take us home. * Without hesitation, he accepted our request and after having warned a couple of friends, assuring them that he would be back in a quarter of an hour, he invited us to follow him.
