❤️ CHAPTER 11 * I can't say how long that kiss lasted, but what I remember is that suddenly everything vanished around me. It seemed to me as if my heart had stopped and with it everything around me. Even the music seemed to slowly fade away until it disappeared completely... and I found myself in the middle of a dream from which I never wanted to wake up. * I therefore hoped that time would stop and we would remain there, forever. * Before that moment my lips had only met those of three other people (and Sara had been one of them), but I had never felt a sensation similar to that. * I never asked Luca what he felt during that kiss, but years later, I remain convinced that for him it was the same incredible emotion. * We stopped just for a moment to look each other in the eyes again and then we started again where we left off. * It was then that for a brief moment, my gaze met Sara's: she was smiling at me happily, because she really was. No jealousy in her eyes, she knew well that no one would ever take me away from her, no envy...just infinite joy in her big heart. * From that evening and for the rest of that wonderful holiday, Luca and I became one and as often happens in similar circumstances, we mutually swore eternal love to ourselves. * It was August 4, 1992 and we couldn't even imagine how bitter first and then incredibly beautiful fate would have in store for us over the next thirty years...
