🟢 In 2002, even though I was the mother of a daughter who wasn't his, Alessandro returned to court me and managed to win my heart. * I spent two peaceful years with him, which allowed me to forget almost all the ugliness of my past (one of them, in particular, I have avoided mentioning here, but it was the one that most significantly affected my life). * In 2004, he asked me to marry him, promising that he would be a great father to Rebecca, and I accepted without hesitation. * Today, after so many years, I have to admit that he was a wonderful parent, even if things between us then didn't work out again. * Alessandro and I separated in 2009, divorcing the following year... and the blame for that failure was largely mine. In fact, even though I loved him, I cheated on him several times during those years, hoping he would never find out. * He realized it right away, but at first (perhaps understanding the reasons) he pretended nothing had happened. Then, however, as the situation continued, one day he said he wanted to talk to me, and on that occasion he expressed his desire to break up with me permanently. * Rebecca, however, did not lose her father: he was always present in my daughter's life... and in fact, today, for study-related reasons, she lives with him in London.
