❤️ CHAPTER 11 * I can't say how long that kiss lasted, but what I do remember is that suddenly everything around me disappeared. It felt like my heart had stopped and with it everything around me. Even the music seemed to slowly fade until it disappeared completely... and I found myself in the middle of a dream from which I never wanted to wake up. * So I hoped that time would stop and we would stay there, forever. * Before that moment my lips had only met those of three other people (and Sara had been one of them), but I had never felt a sensation similar to that. * I never asked Luca what he felt during that kiss, but after all these years, I remain convinced that for him it was the same incredible emotion. * We stopped for just a moment to look into each other's eyes again and then we started again where we had left off. * It was then that for a brief moment, my gaze met Sara's: she was smiling at me happily, because she truly was. No jealousy in her eyes, she knew well that no one would ever take me away from her, no envy... only infinite joy in her big heart. * From that evening and for the rest of that wonderful vacation, Luca and I became one and as often happens in similar circumstances, we swore eternal love to each other. * It was August 4, 1992 and we could not even begin to imagine how much of the bitterness first and the incredibly beautiful afterwards, destiny would have in store for us in the next thirty years...
