❤️ CHAPTER 28 * At first my father made a fuss, but once again my uncle, like a good older brother, convinced him to be a little more permissive towards me and to let me “breathe” every now and then!! * And so the concession arrived. * I was a little sorry to have to betray their trust but the plan we had been planning since the day before went through and Luca and Stefano (Sara's boyfriend, remember?) drove us to Lecce by car. * I won't tell you how I lived that last evening. I'll just tell you that I started crying as soon as I got into Luca's car and I didn't stop until, all together, we arrived near the platform from which my best friend and I would leave. * Luca hugged me and kissed me tenderly, trying to console me in every way. He promised me that he would come to visit me in Modena soon, but it was clear that not even he was sure of what our tomorrow would be. * The train left right on time and I, leaning out of the window, tried to shout his name out loud, but not a single vowel came out of my mouth. * If only we had imagined it: we wouldn't see each other again until 21 years later...
