❤️ CHAPTER 37 * In 2002, even though I was already a mother, Alessandro returned to court me seriously, asking to get back together. He was so tender in the way he declared himself that he managed to make a dent in my heart. * Ale was a very sweet person and I spent 2 incredibly beautiful years with him, so much so that I was able to forget the ugliness of my past. * In 2004 he asked me to marry him, promising me that he would be a great father to Rebecca and I accepted without hesitation. * Today, after so many years, I have to admit that he was a wonderful parent, even if things between me and him slowly got worse until they no longer worked at all. * Alessandro and I separated in 2009, divorcing the following year and I have to admit that the blame for that failure was largely mine. * I felt the need for a man at my side and he, because he was busy with work, was never home. * I, even though I loved him, cheated on him several times in those years, even though I hoped he would never notice, but it didn't go that way! * He realized it almost immediately, but at the beginning (perhaps understanding the reasons) he pretended nothing had happened. Then, however, as the situation continued, one day he said he wanted to talk to me and on that occasion he expressed his desire to end things with me once and for all. * Rebecca, however, didn't lose her father: he was always present in my daughter's life... and in fact, today, for reasons related to her studies, she lives with him in London.
